PLACES TO SEE IN MACEDONIA

Undoubtedly, the most beautiful thing about traveling in the Balkans is the emotional bond between us for 5 centuries. The journey to the lands where Atatürk grew up, the Turkish population that still speaks Turkish, and the architectural and cultural traces left behind by the Ottomans touch the heart of people. It is therefore a much more emotional journey than elsewhere in Europe.

Macedonia, the sweet Balkan getaway right under our noses, is a suitable place for weekend trips, as it is a visa-free country that can be visited from Turkey, with a flight that takes only 1 hour and 15 minutes from Istanbul, and with its compactness that can fit in 3-4 days. We have prepared a guide that takes you to the most beautiful places to visit in Macedonia without wasting time, thinking about what gift to bring to your mother from your telephone line in Turkey. Here are our suggestions for a 4-day Macedonian tour.

What kind of a trip awaits you in Macedonia / What kind of a place

– Macedonia is a typical Balkan country. It attracts tourists with its natural beauties and traditions rather than its architecture or city life.

– Your satisfaction with the service you get for your money will probably be very high. For example; We stayed in a wonderfully designed hotel in Skopje, if a hotel of the same splendor was in Istanbul, it would be twice as expensive. This does not mean that everything is half cheaper, but you can buy luxury services for much less than in Turkey.

– The official language of the country is Macedonian, but whichever city you go to, you will meet at least 1 Turkish-speaking Macedonian every day. It is an easy place for those who do not have a foreign language, both because of the cultural similarities and because of the large number of Turkish speakers.

Macedonia does not require a visa

Does Entering Macedonia Prevent Getting a Schnengen Visa From Greece?

The obstacle to the travel to Greece of people who had once entered and exited Macedonia has been removed. Greece and Macedonia were in a political crisis similar to the harem intrigues that we will describe at the bottom of the article. Greece did not do whatever it could to gain superiority over Macedonia. As one of his tactics, until recently, he did not give Schengen visas to those who had entered Macedonia before, but applied the Hellas visa procedure, which is a short-term national visa valid only at the borders of Greece. In this case, Turkish citizens with a passport to Macedonia could not get a Hellas visa and go to Europe via Greece. Now, this practice has disappeared and Turkish citizens can obtain a Schengen visa from Greece even if they have entered and exited Macedonia before. So, another obstacle has been lifted for your Macedonia tour.

But the business of these countries will not be clear, the practices will change again after two days (We do not think so much), if you say that if you will get the Schengen visa, you will definitely get it from Greece, you can choose to come with a second passport. If you are not going to get a Schengen visa from Greece anyway, there is no problem. In fact, we think it's okay if you buy it as it is 🙂 Only if you are extra sensitive about these issues, consider this possibility.
